Can I see orangutans the same day as Kota Kinabalu sightseeing?

Not realistically, orangutans live on Sabah's east coast (Sepilok Centre near Sandakan), a 50-minute flight from Kota Kinabalu. We recommend at least one overnight in Sandakan for the Sepilok / Kinabatangan river loop.

Is the Mount Kinabalu summit climb included?

Day excursions visit the park headquarters at 1,866 m and the Poring Hot Springs. The 4,095 m summit climb is a separate 2-day permit-controlled program and we book it as a stand-alone itinerary, not as a day tour.

How fit do I need to be for river rafting?
